Life:
-No one is sure when Shakespeare was born but they do know that he was baptised on the 2bth of April 1564
-He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England
-Died on the 23 April 1616
-A the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, who bore him three children: Susanna, and twins Hamnet and Judith.
Works:
-No one is sure how many plays Shakespeare wrote but they know that it was around 36 play writes.
- Shakespeare's plays were performed by his own company at The Theatre and the Curtain in Shoreditch, north of the Thames. They preformed at live theaters most in Globe.
-Five plays that Shakespeare wrote are: All’s Well That Ends Well, The Merry Wives of Windsor, A midsummer Night’s, Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet.
-The plays are performed by a group of actors in front of a live audience.
-the plays were preformed in theatres and eventually in the Globe Theatre.
- Comedies such as The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Histories such as King John, Tragedies such as Coriolanus and Poems such as A Lovers Complaint.
Times:
The Theatre was pulled down and used the timbers to construct the Globe Theatre, the first playhouse built by actors for actors, on the south bank of the Thames at Southwark, The Globe opened in autumn 1599, with Julius Caesar one of the first plays staged.
